Fees

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) ‘National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2025-2026’ currently recommends $318 for a standard 46 to 60-minute consultation. More information can be found on the APS website.

A standard Clinical Psychology session is $260. This applies to both in-person and remote sessions.

A Medicare rebate of $145.25 is available for eligible sessions with a mental health care plan, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

The out-of-pocket cost for an appointment is $114.75.

You can speak to your GP to gain a referral for a mental health care plan. If you already have one addressed to a different provider, this can still be used to claim a rebate without a new referral.

Here are some of the most common questions that I get about therapy with me.

  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length. Therapy lasts for as long as it is helpful. Because many of my clients are managing chronic conditions, most clients stay in therapy for a year or more.

  • You do not need a referral or mental health care plan to start psychology sessions. If you have a mental health care plan, you may be eligible for a medicare rebate.

    If you don’t have a referral or mental health care plan, sessions can be billed privately and will not be eligible for a medicare rebate.

  • Sessions are conducted in-person or remotely via secure video link.

  • I accept NDIS clients who are both self-managed or plan-managed.

    • Clients who are self-managed will be required to pay for their sessions in advance and can claim a reimbursement from NDIS using the receipt provided.

    • Clients who are plan-managed will require their support coordinator to contact us. Following each session, a copy of the invoice will be emailed to the support coordinator for payment.
